Virginia Hospital Center's registered nurses Katy Allen, left, “Doc”, and Alba, far right, prepped me for a surgical biopsy (specifically a Laryngoscopy procedure) to allow the doctors to examine my larynx, in order to possibly detect for any cancerous tissue in and around my throat, Wednesday, June 22, 2016. These nurses were awesome at their job! Not only were they proficient, but their bed-side manners and care were amazing. They truly made me fill comfortable before I went to the operation room.
This morning, I have an appointment with Dr. Sekwon Jang, MD, who is a Hematology/Oncology Specialist at INOVA Melanoma and Skin Oncology Center. We're hoping to learn if there are any other alternative cancer treatments to hopefully prevent another recurrence.
Then, on August 19, I have another consult with Dr. Michael B. Atkins, MD, Deputy Director of the Georgetown-Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in Washington, DC and Professor of Oncology and Medicine (Hematology/Oncology) at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Both Drs. Jang and Atkins are known for their research and experience with Melanoma cancer.
On my end, I am also reviewing information on Dr. Schulze's clinical herbal products as well. I realize that I must take ownership of my health and medical care. So, I'm looking at changing my dietary intake to help improve my immune system and overall health.Take care and God Bless.
