I wanted to give a quick update on my health situation.
Next Wednesday, June 1, I have to undergo another biopsy at Virginia Hospital Center. Then, two days later I meet with my oncologist to learn what's going on with the mass in my left leg.
Basically, there are two scenarios facing me:
- Good scenario - the mass in my left leg is benign. They surgically remove it and the only thing I have to deal with is a limp for a short time.
- Not-so-good scenario - the mass in my left leg is the cancer returning. They surgically remove it, then I must undergo more rounds of chemo - a stronger regiment than before.
So, that is the skinny on what I'm possibly facing.
I dearly appreciate the heartfelt support of words and prayers, but please remember my wife. I do not really know what's worse? Going through cancer treatment as the care receiver ... or the primary caregiver - my wife - watching me helplessly as I go through another fight.
Thank you to those who have inspired me to be a better man in life.
With warmest affections,
