4TH ROUND OF INFUSIONS (WEEK 4 OF 52)
A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP... MAYBE ONE DAY

FEELING BETTER (WEEK 5 OF 52)

For the first time in more than a month I am starting to feel better. After drinking an energy shake this morning, and now sipping on a mint tea, I can hardly detect any of the negative side effects from a month of chemotherapy infusions. While I am still weak and have a persistent cough, I hope and pray that the worst of the treatment is behind me.

What’s next

Starting today, I begin a 48-week regimen of subcutaneous injections of Interferon. The drug will be at a much lower dosage compared to the infusions, so hopefully, the side effects will be nominal and I will be able to get back to life and work soon.

Also, after losing between 15 to 20 pounds, I need to consume a lot of protein this week to get my strength and energy back. And if my body allows, I hope to go to the gym this week to increase my endurance through aerobic exercises.
