During past trials and challenges in my life, I experienced more of God and His 'soft kisses from Heaven', which afforded me the assurance that I was not alone to face life's calamities. He showed Himself through many ways and in just the right timing. His 'soft kisses from Heaven' manifested by way of a friend's caring words, an unexpected gift, a selfless act of service, a visit from a family member, or even in a calm breeze blowing through the trees.

I know there are many blessings in my life that happen each day; some are quite noticeable, others are not. But, in my opinion, His 'soft kisses from Heaven' are the most clear when I endure trials and challenges in life. And during this trial of fighting cancer, I experienced one of His 'soft kisses from Heaven' in the following verses:

"Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

"Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—

"who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,

"who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,

"who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:1-5)

On this beautiful, cool morning, He softly kissed me with His truth and promise that no matter what happens in the end of this fight, I will be renewed like an eagle.
