I have my first tattoos!

Yes! You’ve read it correctly.

I have received my first tattoos today!

I must admit, they're not that colorful nor artistic...and not even close to Popeye's tats...but the tiny black dots are with me for life!

Actually, they were imprinted into my skin during the marking session of radiation therapy today. These little permanent tattoos serve as boundaries to mark the radiation field near the surgical incision. Essentially, they serve as targets where the radiation will be aimed.

So, my newly imprinted tattoos mark (pun intended) the beginning of Phase II: Radiation Therapy, which officially starts Thursday, January 2nd, when they will beam radiation into the affected area.

On the bright side, I hope that I gain some type of superhero power from all this ;-)
